CGC unveils Nokia 7500 Prism in Qatar

Nokia 7500 Prism combines individual style and state-of-the-art technology. Among the highlights of the Nokia's latest offering are its cutting-edge colors, materials and graphics. Adorned with bold geometric patterns, beveled surfaces and vibrant color accents, Nokia 7500 Prism is at the forefront of modern style.

Explaining the main features of Nokia 7500 Prism, Anil Mahajan, Head-Business Development, CGC, said, 'Nokia 7500 is a fashion masterpiece having innovative design along with Multimedia and Bluetooth features.

Its signature diamond-cut design, featuring sharp angled lines, geometric patterns and graphic light-refracting colors gives Nokia 7500 Prism users a distinctive identity among the crowd.

Above all, the dashing mobile's progressive design cut is matched with personalized style. It will definitely enable mobizens to live life in style.'

Nokia 7500 Prism has an integrated 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and built-in flash and it can record high quality movies. This feature will help mobizens in capturing their life's great moments in still photos and stunning video qualities.

Nokia 7500 also has Music Player with exchangeable music themes and FM radio. The mobile allows Qatar's music lovers to play music for nine hours and hold up to 1500 songs on the expandable memory of up to 2 GB. This 83 gram phone has up to 2.8 hours Talk time and up to 280 hours Stand-by time.

Besides having a host of messaging and Voice Features such as Voice dialing, Voice commands, Voice recorder and SIND (Speaker Independent Number Dialing), Nokia 7500 also has several latest formats to support quality Ringing Tones. Among its other features are Alarm clock, Notes, Countdown timer, To-do list, Calendar, Organic Screensavers, Animated wallpapers, Sudoku, etc.

The Nokia Prism Collection


Nokia today unveiled the Prism collection, its latest range of mobile phones aimed at style-conscious consumers. The Prism collection consists of the Nokia 7900 Prism and the Nokia 7500 Prism, handsets which combine individual style and state-of-the-art technology. The two mobile models will be available in the third quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of EUR 400 for the Nokia 7900 Prism and EUR 210 for the Nokia 7500 Prism, before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 7900 Prism
Opposite its sleek, liquorice-black front, the Nokia 7900 Prism comes with an anodized aluminium backcover, which is coin-stamped and laser-etched in Nokia Prism's signature diamond-cut design. Its design is amongst the first to feature an Organic LED main display that supports up to 16 million colors and displays light-focused screensaver graphics. In addition, the Nokia 7900 Prism features a "living wallpaper", which subtly changes throughout the day according to time as well as battery and signal strength, so that each screen is unique.
For greater personalization, the Nokia 7900 Prism offers a gallery choice of 49 illumination colors. Once selected, this color radiates from under the graphic key-mat as well as from the LED display. Lights are also emitted from the top of the phone to signal missed calls and messages.
The Nokia 7900 Prism features dual band 3G technology for fast and easy downloads and browsing, and quad band GSM capability for worldwide connectivity. In addition to a 2 Mpx camera, the Nokia 7900 Prism comes with 1GB of internal memory for lots of pictures, video, contacts and more.
Nokia 7500 Prism
The Nokia 7500 Prism is the Nokia 7900 Prism's quirky sibling. The Nokia 7500 Prism's slick black exterior is spliced with bright, interchangeable color accents. The Nokia 7500 Prism has a 2 Mpx camera and it can record high quality movies. The Nokia 7500 Prism can play music for nine hours and hold up to 1500 songs on an optional 2 GB microSD card.

Nokia Shows Unique 7500 Prism Mobile Phone

Nokia has been known to dabble in some very unique designs every now and again. The 7500 Prism is of course no exception. Although it may bear resemblance to any old candy-bar phone, it does have a slightly unique quality to it when it comes to the paneling.
The criss-cross paneling gives it a sort of diamond edged look and feel to it making it a rather chic looking mobile. The 7500 is equipped with a 2-inch, 16m color screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It’s not just a light weight phone at 82g but a slim one as well with dimensions of - 109 x 43.9 x 14.4 mm.

It has an inbuilt memory of 30MB and uses microSD cards for external memory. The 7500 Prism also has a 2 megapixel camera equipped with a flash. It’s also equipped with EDGE for net connectivity. Bluetooth v2.0 and USB v2.0 are other means by which the 7500 can connect to your PC or other devices. It has an MP3 player and a video player and can read MP3/eAAC+/WMA formats. It also has an FM radio.

The price nor the availability is known yet. But let’s just say it doesn’t seem like it would be too cheap. Let’s hope we see it here though.

Nokia sheds light on Prism fashion phone

Nokia fans worldwide will now be paying closer attention to the vendor from all angles, following the unveiling of its latest handset, the 7500 Prism, at a fashion show in China this week.


The "avant-garde" handset features a two-megapixel camera; DVD quality video playback; support for a range of music formats, including MP3 and WMA; an on-board FM radio; and includes a 30MB internal storage capacity, with a Micro SD memory card slot - Nokia's bundling a 512MB card with the phone.

On the connectivity side, the 7500 includes Bluetooth 2.0 and supports USB 2.0. It is also compatible with Edge and GPRS, and it's a tri-band GSM device. The display is 240 x 320 pixels and capable of displaying 16.7m colours.

The specs may not be startling, but the 7500's looks are, and that keypad, with its diamond-shaped keys, will certainly draw attention. The basic colour is black, with a choice of blue, green or ruby highlights.

It will certainly appeal to the fashionista crowd with its size and weight: it measures 10.9 x 4.4 x 1.4cm and weighs 82g.

The handset is expected to be made available first during Q3 in China, but pricing has yet to be set. Sadly, there's no wo word on a European release date.
